Understanding Color Theory

This 4-hour class consists of demonstration and practice.  Students will learn basic terminology used when discussing color (hue,tint,tone, etc.) Using acrylics, students will create a color chart applying definitions and terms into practice.   No artistic experience necessary!  Recommended for anyone needing a basic foundation in color theory.  Also a wonderful refresher for artists with some experience.

INSTRUCTOR: Karen Smart is an iconographer currently living in Santa Fe.  She specializes in egg tempera and gold leaf, creating traditional icons.  She offers classes, workshops, private instruction, and studio tours.  Karen's art will be in the Corrales Arts Studio Tour in May.  For more information about Karen go to her website at https://www.portalsiconography.com/

TUITION:  $58.50 CAC Members, $65 Non Members.  

Materials Fee:  $20 payable to the instructor at time of class

Suitable for kids age 10 and up.
